24 hours a day Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

The North Piedmont Central Office is the "lifeline" of ALCOHOLIC ANONYMOUS in the area surrounding Lynchburg , Virginia . Its PRIMARY PURPOSE is to answer the call for help from the alcoholic who still suffers, and for this purpose maintains a 24-HOUR HOTLINE. The Central Office also provides, in addition to this web site, a printed, annually updated, "Where and WHEN" of meetings in the area so that anyone can find a meeting at anytime. Finally the Central Office tries to promote A.A. UNITY within the area and to provide services which individual A.A. Groups cannot do themselves. The Central Office is dependent on the groups for its support and your contributions are most welcome.
I AM RESPONSIBLE...
